The heat-insulating building element is made up from two flush panels (3), such as sheet metal plates, plastic panels or sheets of ordinary or safety glass, impermeable to air. They combine to form an intervening space (1) with airtight peripheral sealing (2), with vacuum created inside. Stability and interconnection are such that they cannot be buckled or destroyed by atmospheric air pressure, winds or other normally encountered external forces. Seams (4) may keep constant the space between. In the area of punctiform or linear reinforcement, heat transfer between them can be reduced by interposed insulating material.
|
