Acheson furnace waste heat extractor - uses cavities formed by released filler furnace structure

The system for utilising waste heat of industrial furnaces is used especially in Acheson furnaces. The waste heat is recovered at very high temperatures. On making the furnace there are inserted process inert materials into the structure which are released at a specified point of time. The cavities formed are used for drawing energy from the furnace. The cavities can be filled with the process inert material before the start of the processing. The filling material may have required electrical or dielectric properties. The original filling of the cavities can be removed and filled with material suitable for heat removal by conduction.
