Glass objects to be coated are heated to>=400OC and passed by a coating station at which a silane-coating gas is blown across the objects under approx. const. pressure in a hot zone on a nonoxidizing condition. The product was useful as window glass having good properties against sunlight. Thus, glass was heated to>=400OC and passed through a coating appts. in which a protective atom was maintained over a molten Sb bath. The coated glass appeared brown in transmitted light and silver in reflected light.
