This invention relates to solid nonionic crosslinked resins containing amine or phosphine borane adducts and their use as reducing agents for metal ions, aldehydes, ketones, alkenes and the like. This invention also relates to the use of these resins as starting materials for the preparation of novel metal catalysts for use in hydrogenation reactions.
