Self-adhesive closure for surgical wounds - has two sections, one on either side of incision, which are drawn together by nylon threads fixed to third section

The closure for the surface of surgical wounds draws the edges of the incision together with nylon threads. The closure has self-adhesive three parts, the first of which acts as a fixed support for the threads which are spaced 4 to 5mm. apart. The second section has guides through which the threads slide freely and the third section is similar to the first but has its sticky face on the opposite side to the other two. The first and second sections are placed one on either side of the wound and the third is pulled to exert a traction on the threads so drawing the wound lips together so they touch but do not overlap.
