1456339 Cutting foamed plastics A FISCHER 16 Jan 1975 [14 Feb 1974] 1873/75 Addition to 1456058 Heading B5A The holders 1a and 1b hold in clamp 3a cutting wire 2 for foamed polymeric material which wire can be arranged in an infinite number of configurations and can be heated electrically to cut the material as it contacts the foam. The power supply is connected through a pushbutton switch 10 which is spring biased towards an open circuit position and is depressed during cutting. The holders are held together by means of the entrant groove-and-tenon connection 5. The wire may be used to bore holes in plastic foam. |
