Elastic cords are frequently used for securing articles to the roof racks of cars. The elastic cords are attached to the framework of the racks by hooks fixed to the cord ends. A hook (1) which provides for easy adjustment of the cord length but at the same time exerts a firm grip on the cord, is made of plastic with a tubular extension (1a). The cord (2) is threaded through the bore (1b) of the tubular extension and then through a hole (1d) in the body of the hook (1). The cord (2) is then doubled back and pressed into a close fitting groove (1c) on the side of the tubular extension. |
