The roofliner for vehicle cabs, in particular cars, is designed as a self-supporting, integral structural element (10) with a frame (30) for fastening in the upper part of a vehicle cab and with a panel (11) fixedly connected to the frame (30); the frame (30) has guides (31, 32, 33, 34) for holding and securing anti-dazzle shields (12, 14, 16, 18) which can be embedded in the roofliner; the panel (11) is at least partially composed of shock-absorbing material and virtually completely covers the underside of the frame; by this means, an impact-protection surface which is free of protruding functional elements in the head region of the vehicle occupants is produced. The roofliner is preferably made by the frame (30) being anchored, with its side carrying the guides (31, 32) turned upwards, in a one-piece structure made of plastic to form an integral composite body, the lower part of which has the virtually continuous surface covering the underside of the frame (30). <IMAGE>
