The explosion detection system for mining has detectors containing measuring bridges connected by four core cables to a connection box which is in turn connected by a three core cable to a monitoring position. Each bridge is a Wheatstone bridge with a detector filament forming one branch and a compensating filament with a resistance across it. The number or connections inside the connection box is equal to twice the number of detectors plus one.
