The discharge mechanism consists of a screw conveyor which is mounted horizontally over the base of the silo from the centre to the edge. The conveyor is driven through a gear by a vertical shaft (13) which is mounted centrally in the silo. The shaft is driven through a coupling by a vertical motor. The screw conveyor is arranged to rotate around the base of the silo to cover the base area.
