<p>The hydraulic hammer operated by ram effect can be controlled to prevent generation of excessive for ce causing wear and damage. The hydraulic fluid passes down a tube (3) through a cylinder (2) acting as a piston to act against a tool support (11) with a spring under it. In the middle of the piston are lower entry channels (8) communicating with a chamber housing a plunger (7) acting against an impact plate (13) with a spring underneath. Between the top surface of the tool support and the cover of the housing is a channel (4) with a plunger (4) with a valve member at the bottom. This conrols discharge from the main chamber, and is connected to a discharge valve (6) at the top. The chamber with the plunger and impact plate has a side outlet to this channel. The top valve can be adjusted, to control the frequency so as to obtain a vibratory effect.</p> |
