<p>The tractor drawn unit is for sowing seed in unworked soil, partic. in grassland, and has a pair of knives which are disc-shaped, fitted on an arm, and rotatable around a horizontal axis, these being for the purpose of cutting a furrow in the soil. Adjacent the pair of knives (8, 9) is a wiping unit (12) which extends closely to their support point, being actually attached to their bearing arm. The whole installation can be attached to a tractor by means of coupling bars (2, 3, 4), and rests on the ground using a housing (5) and support roller (6).</p> |
