The fishing rod support comprises a main stem (1) on which two or more guides (4, 5) slide, each guide having angle component (10, 10') on a spindle at right angles to the stem. A stop (16) is included for the lower end of the rod, together with means for clamping the guides in position. The lower end of the stem can be flattened, so that it can be driven into the ground, while the rod end stop can be fixed to the lower guide. Each guide can comprise a component (14, 14') fixed to the end of a bar (13, 13') bent into a right angle, while the other end of the latter hinges on a spindle (10, 10') passing through the two arms of a split collar (6, 6') sliding on the stem, the bar end fitting between the arms.
