The water repellent is used for concrete structures or exterior walls made of materials such as red bricks, wood and the like. The repellent is superior in water proof, durability, high strength and chemical resistance. The repellent contains 70-90 parts by weight of chloroparaffin, 10-30 parts by weight of metal salts of fatty acid, 4-10 parts by weight of polyoxyethylene alkylether, 1-4 parts by weight of silicate, 200-240 parts by weight and 10-30 parts by weight of by-products of silicones. Chloroparaffin has good hydrophobicity and serves as a basic material for obtaining water proof. To enhance the performance of chloroparaffin, a metal salt of fatty acid is added so as to improve the adhesive property and prevent from deteriorating the strength of products. The metal salt of fatty acid includes aluminum, calcium or zirconium salt of stearic acid or oleic acid. As a silicate, calcium or magnesium silicate is useful because of good cold resistance, heat resistance and acid resistance.
