This invention is about the sphygmomanometer having an air drainage control function to be manufactured without a fine drainage valve which is difficult to produce and reduce the price cost. The process for controlling the sphygmomanometer contains i)opening(S120) the solenoid valve, ii)maintaining(S40) the low electric power mode, iii)determining(S60) whether the power supply switch from the key input division turns on or not, iv)raising(S80) the air pressure by driving a pressure division when the key input turns on, v)stopping(S100) the pressure when the fixed pressure comes to, vi)exhausting(S120) finely by operating the on-off of the solenoid valve after the initial value of on/off time is calculated in consideration of the pressure time, the maximum pressure, the thickness of arm, the air quantity for supplying to cut off, and the power supply condition of system, vii)detecting and storing(S130) the present pressure and the maximum value of pulse wave, vii)compensating(S140) the on/off time of solenoid valve for exhausting the fixed pressure by forecasting the on/off time of solenoid valve in advance, viii)displaying the result, viiii)terminating(S170) the operation by opening the solenoid valve.
