摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pulse multiplexing circuit being an indispensable optical part for super-high speed optical transmission in optical communication system. SOLUTION: This circuit is composed of an input optical waveguide 16 formed on a substrate, a channel waveguide group 20 connected to the respective output ends of a multi-mode interference type branching waveguide 18 whose input part is joined to the input optical waveguide 16, a multi-mode interference type branching waveguide 19 having an input end connected to each of the channel waveguide group 20 and an output optical waveguide 17 connected to the output end of the multi-mode interference type branching waveguide 19 and the length of the channel waveguides are different, respectively.
