PURPOSE:To make construction simple and inexpensive by corresponding the light transmission parts provided to the holding member of position detecting elements turnable in cooperation to a tone arm to photoelectric detectors being position detecting means. CONSTITUTION:The holding member 5 of position detecting means is provided turnably in cooperation to a tone arm 1 and the light transmission parts 5a, 5b, 5c... etc. for detecting that a pickup cartridge 6 is positioned in the rest position or the lead-in groove or lead-out groove of a record disc are provided as position detecting elements. The light transmission parts 5a, etc. are positioned on the same circumference. Photoelectric detectors 7a, 7b constituted by light emitting elements and photoelectric elements are held by boxes 7 in the positions opposing so as to sandwich these. Based on the position detecting signals obtainable by these, the pickup cartridge 6 is automatically moved and controlled to the rest position on the lead-in position of the record disc. |
