<p>PURPOSE: To prevent a magnetic cassette from falling by a method wherein a container is provided with a cam which is in gear with two concave portions on a wide surface of the magnetic tape in the direction of insertion thereof and the cam is deflected from the direction across the wide surface when inserting or taking out the magnetic tape cassette in and from the container. CONSTITUTION: A circular concave portion 70 of a magnetic tape cassette is slightly deflected from a center surface 72. The region which the concave portion 70 is protruded to the center surface 72 is reciprocally overlapped at an angle of about 60 deg. if the cassette is reversed. A cam 74 is protruded to the overlapped region from the ceiling and bottom sides of a slider portion 14. The cam 74 is disposed on a free end of an arm 76 for a metal bracket 78 and deformed. If the cassette 48 is inserted in a container so that the concave portion 70 may be on the upper side, the upper side cam 74 is in gear with the cassette 48 and the lower cam 74 is resiliently in contact with the wide surface of the lower side of the cassette 48. To take out the magnetic tape cassette 48 from the container, the cassette is slightly pulled to have the cam 74 lifted from the concave portion 70.</p> |
