PURPOSE:The title composition having improved dimensional stability of parisons in a molten state, and thermal stability and mechanical properties, comprising an epoxy group-containing copolymer and a trifunctional organic phosphorus compound. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100 parts by wt. of an aromatic polyester, preferably polybutylene terephthalate, is melt kneaded homogeneously with (B) 1-40 parts by wt., preferably 3-30 parts wt., of a copolymer consisting of an epoxy group-containing unsaturated monomer, e.g. glycidyl acrylate, of the formula (R is hydrocarbon group having one ethylenically unsaturated group) and other unsaturated monomers, e.g. ethylene, and (C) 0.05-10 parts by wt., preferably 0.1-5 parts by wt., of a trifunctional organic phosphorus compound of the formula PR1R2R3 (R1, R2, and R3 are aliphatic, aromatic, alicyclic, or alkoxy groups) above the melting point of the polyester by means of an extruder. |
