PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a powdered paint which can attain excellent powder fluidity, coating workability and coated layer appearance by sticking fine resin particles to the surface of the spherical parent particles which are prepared in an aqueous medium and contains a thermosetting composition through the wet process. SOLUTION: In order to prepare this powdered paint, oil drops of a liquid thermosetting resin composition suspended in an aqueous medium are solidified as the suspension is maintained to prepare resin particles as a core. Then, these core resin particles are covered with microfine particles of a vinyl polymer having an average particle size of <=1/10 that of the core particles, while both of them are wetted. Further, the core resin particles covered with this vinyl polymer particles are dried and the resultant thermosetting resin particles for powdered paint are admixed. The core resin particles preferably have an average particle size of 1-50μm, while the vinyl polymer microfine particles have an average particle size of 0.005-2μm.
