PURPOSE:To eliminate the readjustment on user side by fitting a shielding element which shields the operation part of an adjusting apparatus onto a carburetor body, by means of rivets which can be pulled out only in the state of the carburetor dismounted from an engine. CONSTITUTION:A rivet driving hole 11 formed on a carburetor body 1 is constituted so that the other end on rivet driving side is opened to the engine mounting surface 12 of the carburetor body. Accordingly, when the necessity of readjustment arises according to the driving state of the engine, a rivet 10 is pulled out by utilizing the rivet driving hole 11 which is opened by dismounting the carburetor body from the engine, and a shielding element 9 is removed, and readjustment is carried out so that a proper air-fuel ratio of the engine can be obtained, by revolving the operation part of an adjusting screw 5 for engaging a metering element 7 with a fuel opening 6. After readjustment described above, the adjusting screw 5 is shielded by the shielding element 9, and the screw is rivet-mounted on the carburetor body 1 by means of rivet 10. These working are impossible for users, so the adjustment fault on user side can be prevented. |
