PURPOSE:To make construction simple and maintenance easy by fetching the magnetic ink filled in the void part of a scanning type recording head onto a recording medium according to picture signals thereby performing recording. CONSTITUTION:When DC power is applied to the windings 6, 6' of the recording head, the magnetic fluxes flowing in yokes 5, 5' enter scanning magnetic poles 1, 1', and the magnetic fields generated from the yokes 5, 5' become mutually opposite in direction in a void 2. The magnetic field distributions in the X direction in the void 2 become maximum at X = l/2, - l/2 and zero at X = 0. When the picture signals S are applied via amplifier A to the windings 6, 6', the magnetic ink 3 filling the voil 2 receives electrostatic driving power evenly. The ink 3 filling the unsaturated region of the void 2 is drawn out to the outside by the electromagnetic driving force and builds up on the outside of the voil 2, thence the ink 3 contacts the recording medium 11 disposed in proximity, whereby recording is accomplished. |
