PURPOSE:To facilitate operation of loading and unloading an automobile onto and from automobile transporting vehicle, by employing extension boards substantially in a triangular form which are attached to the underframe of the vehicle in pivotally movable manner. CONSTITUTION:Extension boards 13A, 13B substantially in a triangular form, having an oblique top end face, are attached to underframe 12 of automobile transporting vehicle 11 at the top end and rear end thereof, in the manner that they can be moved pivotally. In forming a train of these vehicles, extension boards 13A, 13B are turned upward to expose couplers 14A, 14B provided at both ends of vehicle 11, and a plurality of vehicles 11 are connected together by means of these couplers. In unloading automobile 15 from the vehicle 11, trucks 16A, 16B are placed on branch lines 22A-23B for driving underframe 12 slantwise and they are stopped at a position between platforms 51 and 52. Then, extension boards 13A, 13B are turned flat for loading and unloading automobile 15 onto or from vehicle 11, with their top ends being positioned near to the respective platforms 51, 52 with small spacing A. |
