<p>The rim protection tape for spoked wheels such as bicycle wheels has a double layer tape between the rim and a pneumatic tyre. The inside layer of the tape is of relatively rigid material such as PVC, the outer one is of close woven cotton, the two are bonded together and almost totally cover the recess in the rim to which they are glued. The double layer rim has holes to take the inflation valve for the pneumatic tyre and the tape is holed correspondingly to take the same valve.</p> |
