<p>An injection press for the prodn. of very large panels is mounted on wheels which are opt. driven automatically, and run on rails which are opt. incorporated in the bottom moulds, the number and spacing of which depends upon the prodn. envisaged. The press comprises only one crosshead, whilst the moulds form the base. When pressure is applied to the moulds, the machine lifts on its jacks. The support arrangements fixed to the press engage with the corresponding base mould inseparably, so that pressure is applied on the mould automatically. The press may also be engaged with the base without its lifting, by means of hydraulic, electric or other locking devices. Used to eliminate the need for large rooling mould plates taking up a large area, or fixed bases and a press suspended from a highly stressed structure. Everything required is assembled compactly on the press.</p> |
