PURPOSE:To obtain a color cathode-ray tube featuring a high picture quality by giving the spring characteristics to the spring component holding the mask through the nitriding process in order to cause no ''wear'' to the spring even with the heat treatment given. CONSTITUTION:For the color cathode-ray tube, the spring component is formed by giving the press molding to the soft steel into the fixed shape along with the nitriding process to be used for spring 74 to hold mask 7 functioning to perform the color selection to panel face 4. With control of the process time for the nitriding the spring characteristics can be selected freely. Thus, the mask can be held evenly within the panel, obtaining a color cathode-ray tube featuring high picture quality. Furthermore the process layer after the nitriding has no change up to 550 deg.C as for both the heat and corrosion resistance performance. And no factor exists to cause the ''wear'' to the spring performance under the manufacturing processes, thus designing the high-precision spring. |
