Fungicidal N-substd. N-chloroacetanilide derivs. of formula (I) are new. In the formula, R1 and R2 are Me or Et, or if R2 is Me, R1 can be Cl; Z is 1-3C alkyl or halogen; n is 0-2, Y is -CH(Me)CH2O-, -CH(Me)O-, -CH2O-, -CH2CH2O-, -CH2-C(=O)O- or -CH2CH2-C (=O)O-, and R3 is 1-4C alkyl opt. substd. by a halogen; or Y-R3 is X is Cl, Br, F or I. (I) are effective against many fungal diseases of culture plants such as vines, fruit trees, tobacco, sweet potatoes tomatoes and other vegetables. (I) is suitably applied in doses of 0.2-20 kg/ha.
