The extruder has a piston which carries a die inside a cylinder. One end of the cylinder is opened and the other is fitted with the hydraulic cylinder carrying the piston and rod. The cylinder is supplied from a reservoir through the necessary non return valves. The main piston is assisted by means of a supply of compressed air which is fed to the back of the piston. The system is supplied with the necessary non return valves.
