The egg or fruit container (10) is made of a single piece of plastics moulded into shape. The box has an integral lid hinged to the lower part of the box along one edge. The lid is fitted with two pegs located along the front edge. The box has two holes to match the pegs. The holes have vertical sides on the peg diameter and a triangular section at the top. The lid is also located by corner flats. The base has two pillars fitted in the centre of the box. The pillars reach the lid when this is closed and support it in the centre.
