<p>PURPOSE:To accomplish the printing operation without resorting any complex electronic circuit and any memory having a large capacity by transmitting a light selectively through the transparent letters or the like, which are formed on a letter mother plate so that the paper is printed with the heat which is generated by the optical energy of an optical image having passed through the letters or the like. CONSTITUTION:When letters 9 or the like are selected by a letter index plate 6 to operate a power source device 11, a flash optical source 10 flashes for a moment. The optical energy from the source 10 is condensed by a condensing reflecting mirror 12 and is irradiately upon the back of the letters 5 or the like of a letter mother plate 4, which corresponds to the selected letters 9 or the like of the index plate 6, by the action of a condensing lens 13 so that the optical energy having passed through the plate 4 is focused upon one end of a fiber scope 14 from the optical image of the letters or the like selected. Since, at this time, the other end of the scope 14 has its intermediate medium 3 forced into contact with a platen 1 by means of an electromagnet 15, heatsensitive ink is melted by the heat of the optical energy having passed through the scope 14 so that the selected letters or the like are printed upon printing paper 2.</p> |
