The h.v. switching cell is designed so that the installation depth of its feedthrough with a two-flap system is reduced. The two-flap system comprises two flaps close together and divided in the centre and overlapping. The two half-flaps (9, 10) directed towards the circuit breaker are pivoted in the feedthrough (3) whilst the two inner half-flaps (7, 8) are pivoted near the overlap zone to the outer half-flaps such that, when the circuit breaker moves in, all the half-flaps pivot together inwards away from the insulated projecting contact (5). The inner half-flaps slide over the ends of the feedthrough.
