<p>The equipment is particularly for metering and filling highly viscous commodities, such as jam, curds or other food stuffs. A vacuum is first generated in the metering chamber and the commodity then suddenly sucked in and compressed in the process, after which it is forced out again. A metering piston works in the cylindrical chamber, in which inlet and outlet valves are mounted at opposite ends. The outlet valve (4) is a plunger-type valve (14-15) actuated by a stem (13) guided coaxially inside the rod (12) of the metering piston (3).</p> |
