Light liquid containing effluent purification - with changeover valve from gravity trap to emulsion separator

A system for the purification of waste water containing oil or petrol from garages or car repair shops includes a changeover valve which is operated jointly with a hot water or steam valve. The normal gravity settling trap is thereby replaced by an emulsion separation plant. When hot water or steam has turned the effluent into an emulsion, the normal traps are unable to purify the effluent. The new system remedies this.
