The machine sets down freshly pressed concrete slabs edgewise on a pallet. The slabs are suspended horizontally in the moulds then received by a carriage, secured by clamps,. and then swung through 90 degrees for setting down. The truck has clmapos securing two slabs or rows of slabs (7a, 7b) alongside each other, and is swung through 90 degrees by a common tilting mechanism (9-11). The lowermost slab or row (7a) is set directly down on the pallet, while the uppermost one is secured between clamping jaws travelling up and down (12). After the pallet has been slid sideways for the thickness of a slab, the jaws set these slabs down on it also.
