Basic element for a collapsible, plastics, box comprises a botom with integral sidewalls. The bottom portion is a complete truncated pyramid. The sidewalls are part truncated pyramids such that when they are erected from a folded-flat condition, the pyramid sides of the bottom portion lying along the folding edges and facing the pyramid sides of the sidewalls, and also the corresponding transverse pyramid sides of the sidewalls come into contact with one another. The sides of the bottom portion and of the sidewalls have a 45 degrees slope. Contact faces are coated with a contact glue.
