Method for producing a model for cutting out articles of clothing said model comprising a sheet (22) showing the cutting-out pattern (15) in reduced size. By means of graded full-scale pattern pieces (10-14) points (17''-21'') are marked on the sheet (22) for determining polar coordinates (17-20) from a reference point (16) and measures (C) are calculated which are to be marked along the different coordinates (17-20) from the respective points for reproducing the pattern pieces (10-14) in full-scale for different sizes of the article of clothing.
