In order to permit improved utilisation of the energy of the laser beam, the plastic film sections (1) are cut by a sharply focussed laser beam (5); the latter is reflected (6) after the parting cut onto the cut film margins or the film margins to be cut, and subsequently the laser beam passing through the films is repeatedly reflected onto the film margins. In the apparatus, laser-reflecting channels (7, 8) are provided, of which one can be designed as a peripheral groove on a roller (3) supporting the films. <IMAGE> |
