Incandescent lamp filaments cutting process - involves feeding spiral filament to cutters over eccentric and tensioning rocket arm

The filaments are wound on a spool, and consists of a continuous spiral with already removed core wire. The filament (4) runs over a fast eccentric (5) in order to avoid blocking. The tension of the wound off filament is controlled by a rocker arm (7), and the filament (4) is applied to the cutter (2) without tension. It is held at the cutter (2) in a clamping device (16) until the filament end is gripped by feed tongs (17) which move it by the required length (a). Two cutters (18) cut the filament which is caught by transport tongs (19).
