Pressurised isolating chamber item sterilisation system - sprays item with agent in sealed chamber before opening passage to pressure chamber

The sytem sterilises an item before insertion in a pressurised isolating unit, containing a human or animal patient. The unsterilised item is inserted in a sterilisation chamber (10), isolated from the interior of the unit, the chamber being completely sealed off from the surroundings. A sterilising agent is then sprayed into the chamber, and a transfer opening (12) is freed, connected to the inlet of the isolating unit, and previously sealed shut, to allow delivery of the item into the unit.
