PURPOSE:To obtain composite particles having a sharp grain size distribution by electrically sticking thermoplastic resin particles and fine resin particles so that the surfaces of the thermoplastic resin particle are uniformly coated with the fine resin particles and subjecting the particles to a heating treatment. CONSTITUTION:The thermoplastic resin particles which have a positive or negative charge on the particle surfaces in an underwater medium system and have 1-30mum grain size and the fine resin particle which have the opposite charge on the particle surfaces in the underwater medium system are dispersed and mixed in the same medium system so that the fine resin particles are electrically stuck to the surfaces of the thermoplastic resin particles. The particles are further stuck by heating and are then dehydrated and dried. The sticking of the thermoplastic resin particles to each other and the fine resin particles to each other is, therefore, prevented by electrical repulsion and the generation of the coarse particles is effectively prevented. In addition, the uniform coating of the surfaces of the thermoplastic resin particle with the fine resin particle is enabled. The toner particles which are substantially spherical, have the rugged surfaces and have the sharp grain size distribution are formed in this way. |
