<p>The construction of the magnetic mounting for a false-twisting spindle has the collar of the spindle surrounded by more than half of each pone (N, S) of the horseshoe-shaped magnets, each pole being chamfered to give an angled surface at an angle of about 20 degrees to the vertical. The design gives a firm holding action on the false-twisting spindle in both axial and radial directions, without allowing the spindle to heat through friction.</p> |
