PURPOSE:To promote the development, to augment the effective sensitivity and to improve the eternity of a color developing liquid by containing a special benzene derivative having a methine coupled with amine or a side chain of methylene in a jcolor developing liquid (or a pre-treating liquid) so that it may be photographically processed. CONSTITUTION:A chemical compound of formula II or III, as is expressed by a general formula (I) [wherein: R<1> stands for hydroxy, carboxy, sulfur, alkyl of C1-4 or alcoxy; R<1>' stands for H, alkyl of C1-4 or alcoxy; R<2> stands for H, alcoxy of C1-4, hydroxyalkyl or sulfoalkyl; R<3> stands for H, alkyl of C1-4; aralkyl, sulfoalkyl, sulfo or -CONHR(wherein R stands for H or alkyl); (preferably, R<1>, R<1>' and R<3> stand for H; and R<3> stands for -CONH2)] is added in a quantity of 1 mg to 10g/litter (preferably, 10 mg to 5 g/litter) to a color developing liquid or a pretreating liquid. With the use of this, the photosensitive material is photographically treated. |
