<p>The infeed arrangement is used, e.g. for passing cylindrical workpieces through a shot blasting machine. The workpieces are supported on two rollers which both rotate in the same direction and impart a rotating movement to the workpieces. Traverse of the workpieces through the machine is achieved by means of a large diameter spiral spring, which is mounted over the rollers. The pitch of the spring is such that one workpiece fits between two coils. When the spring is roated by the rollers, the workpieces move along the spring.</p> |
