Monitor circuit for antiskid brake control - has failure warning and smooth changeover to manual control by use of logic circuit with gate elements

The anti-skid brake control is fitted with a failure monitor which checks the relative operation of different parts of the system and which activates a warning if the control fails. The changeover to manual brake control is over a set time delay to allow the driver time to adjust to the brake reaction. The system prevents the driver from relying on the anti-skid control when heavy braking is required, and the system suddenly fails. The monitor circuits are simple logic controls.
