发明名称 WELDING OF MAGNETIC PART BY LASER BEAM
摘要 PURPOSE:To perform welding of magnetic part by laser beam so as to give the weld a desired appearance and a high strength regardless of the attitude of welding by preventing the flow of molten metal by applying a magnetic force at the laser beam-focusing point from its opposite side. CONSTITUTION:With the welder 6, the one magnetic part(box) 1 and the other magnetic part(frame) 4 are welded at places near the respective openings of the part 1 by the method in which the rotary head 9 is inserted from the hole 3 and the laser beam 7 is focused at the laser beam-focusing point 10 at which the permanent magnet 12 is placed on the opposite side of the irradiation side of the beam 7. When the beam 7 is irradiated under the condition, welding can be performed in spite of an upward welding attitude without falling molten metal because of the magnetism and tackiness of the magnet 12, although part of the magnetic parts 1 and 4 are melted. Then, the sides 13 and 14 are welded likewise by rotating the rotary head 9 and subsequently the bottom side is welded by the usual method to complete the welding processing.
