PURPOSE:For easy and inexpensive production of water proof and heat resistant monothilic structure, a material essentially consisting of lithium silicate is applied to heat resistant flat seal, multilevel seal or sheet on at least its laminating portion, then the seal or sheet is bonded together. CONSTITUTION:Heat resistant flat and multilevel sheets are applied on their laminating part or entire surface with an aqueous solution or dispersion containing more than 20 wt% of lithium polysilicate represented by LiO2.nSiO2, whereby the value n of 3.5 to 7.5 gives good bond strength and water proofness. The obtained laminated monolithic structure is fired at 200 to 1000 deg.C to complete bonding. To further increase bonding strength, the fired product is immersed in an aqueous solution containing LiO2.nSiO2 to be coated and impregnated with it on the surface, and then fired again. |
