SPIN STABILIZED PROJECTILE

A spin stabilized projectile is provided which has a shoulder at its rear end which bears against a sabot. The projectile and the sabot are connected by a barrel guide ring extending around and over the projectile and a cylindrical part of the sabot of diameter substantially equal to the projectile, the guide ring being secured to the sabot in a longitudinal direction but being rotatable with respect to the sabot.
