PURPOSE:To provide a flash apparatus which is improved in functions such as display without damage to the life of lamps by preventing troubles due to light interference between the lamps with the fluorescent lamp unlit shielded from the one lit to facilitate fine discharge. CONSTITUTION:On-signal is applied on gates GT1 and GT2 to actuate glow starters G1 to G2. Consequently, given a start-kick voltage, fluorescent lamps L1 and L2 are lighted, once preheated through secondary windings X1 to X4. Then, according to control signals applied to gates GT1 and GT2, flashing is repeated. When a switching means T1 or T2 is turned off, a small amount of current is fed to the lamp L1 or L2 through a current regulating resistance R1 or R2 to maintain a fine discharge. In such an arrangement, a shield plate is provided between the lamp L1 and L2 to remove stoppage of the fine dischare which will be caused when the starter device is actuated depending on a rise in the voltage and a drop in the current the lamp performing the fine discharge affected by the light of the other lighting lamp. |
