<p>PURPOSE:To increase the speed of denitrification, and to economize chemicals, by reducing the quantity of sludge produced by feeding one portion of mediums, to which microbes formed in the biological disposal of waste water attach, into a layer that reduces NOx-N to N2 gas under an anaerobic condition. CONSTITUTION:Layers 3 are formed by filling granular mediums, such as, sand, etc. into an aerobic, biological disposal tank 1 and an anaerboic, biological disposal tank 2. Raw waste water 4 is let low into the aerobic, biological disposal tank 1, are 5, etc. are introduced and oxidation reaction is performed. One portion 6 of liquid passing through the inside of the layer 3 is circulated, and the other portion 7 is let flow into the denitrification tank 2 under an anaerobic condition and let pass the inside of the layer 3. NOx-N is changed into N2 gas and discharged while circulating the one portion 8, and the other portion 9 is let flow outside the system. Since aerobic microbes breed in the disposal tank 1 in this method, mediums 10, to which the excess microbes attach, are utilized as the hydrogen donors of denitrifying bacteria in the denitrification tank, and one portion 11 of granular mediums in the denitrification tank 2 is used as the mediums, to which aerobic microbes adhere, of the disposal tank 1.</p> |
