<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cancel influence caused by the fluctuation of the mode of a laser transmitter, a beam diameter, or the like, by diffusing a laser beam leaking from the rear mirror of the laser transmitter, and by receiving and detecting the diffused beam for monitoring laser output. SOLUTION: In an output-monitoring device 1, a diffusion plate 3 being used as optical equipment is provided while being nearly vertically to the optical axis of a week laser beam LB leaking from the rear mirror of a laser transmitter for allowing the laser beam LB to enter the diffusion plate 3. The laser beam through the diffusion plate 3 becomes a diffusion beam 5 on a diffusion surface 9 being provided on the surface of the emission side of the diffusion plate 3. The diffusion beam 5 is received by a photo detector 7 being arranged opposite to the diffusion plate 3. For the diffusion plate 3, a single-sided ground glass or a double-sided ground glass surface may be used as a diffusion surface 9, and ceramics can be also used. The laser beam leaking from the rear mirror is diffused by the diffusion plate 3 of an optical element, and the diffused beam 5 is efficiently received by the photo detector, thus permanently preventing energy distribution on a photo detector 7 from being changed even when the mode and the beam diameter of the laser beam are changed.</p> |
